Green Challenge Trophy returns for the Touch Nationals 2024

After the success of the Green Challenge Trophy in the 2023 NTS competitions, we’re bringing England Touch’s unique green competition to the Touch Nationals 2024. Everyone is entered automatically and all you need to do to help your team win is to take some green actions over the tournament weekend.

From considering how we travel to the tournament and around Nottingham, to how we reduce our waste and recycle what we do create, from the kit we’re wearing and the food we eat, all of us have options for making the more sustainable choice. England Touch is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our events, and we’d love you to be a part of it.

To enter, simply make some sustainable choices across the tournament weekend and enter your green actions in the individual playbook form. You can make commitments ahead of the tournament, or enter during the weekend (but entries will close at midday on the last day of your tournament, so don’t wait until the last minute).

Nottingham is a great city for public transport and active travel, plan your journey using this website. Make sure you pack a reusable bottle, some tupperware to bring pre-prepared food in and the all-important reusable coffee cup. We’ve been working hard with the venues to improve their recycling, so please try to sort your waste into the right bins wherever they are available.

We want you to get sharing too, so you’ll get bonus points for sharing photos on social media of you and your team taking their green actions using #GreenChallengeTrophy. Get your whole squad involved and increase the chances of your team winning. And there is also a prize for the MGP (Most Green Player) too.

Remember, all you have to do to play is make your commitments in the individual playbook form any time from now up to midday on the last day of your tournament.
