Every team is eligible to enter, regardless of which division you are playing in. Nottingham Hoods lead the way so far in 2024, closely followed by Warwick Knights, Yorkshire Thorns, Horsham Tigers, Percy Park Pirates and Exeter Eagle Owls.
Earlier this year Denbies Wine Estate in Surrey became the first vineyard and winery in the UK to achieve Net Zero status to the UK Carbon Code of Conduct standard. In doing so, Denbies became one of just a handful of wine producers globally to have achieved Net Zero in wine production.
The Estate, which is both an agricultural business and tourist destination, sits within the Surrey Hills National Landscape. Ten acres within the vineyard have been left in their natural state to encourage biodiversity, with other actions including self-generating green energy installed on the winery buildings and environmental best practice for all new capital investment.
