Referees head to Vichy

Following the player successes of the Youth Atlantic Cup in Nottingham, England Touch is poised to send a large contingent of referees to the forthcoming European Championships in Vichy in August.

The team of refs will be the biggest from a single nation, making up just under a third of all the referees attending.

England Touch regularly provides high level referees for such tournaments, and this year is no exception, with no fewer than five Level 5 (the top level) referees attending.

The youngest three members of the team are all medal-winners from the Atlantic Youth Touch Cup last week, and the group even includes a husband-and-wife duo, and three members of the same family!

The full list of referees is:

Alex Joseph, Alice Watchorn, Cara Edwards, Chloe Spencer, Dan Harrison, Fergal Evans, Gareth Hinds, Jack Harris, Jacob Whitehead, Jon Harding, Jordi Bitlloch, Julian Edwards, Kathy Van de Rijt, Layo Aromire, Matthew Emmerson, Mike Davis, Nicolas Van de Rijt, Oliver Exton, Ollie Simon, Patrick Burchell, Rachael Atkins, Robin Budd, Siâny Gilding, Theo Edwards
