Development NTS Round 2 preview

The Development National Touch Series heads north this weekend, and welcomes more teams for the Round 2 clashes at Burton RFC.

Essex Touch and Yorkshire Thorns both make their first appearance in 2022, with Percy Park Pirates coming back into the Development NTS for the first time in three years. Meanwhile PFT is showing its greater number of players by entering the club’s second team into the Development NTS, their first team also playing in the Elite NTS on Sunday.

There was promotion for Cheltenham Tigers and Liverpool Otters from the Bowl into the Cup, and they both have competitive pools to contend with.

Galaxy London were clear winners last time out, but with this weekend’s tournament happening a lot closer to the north west than the capital then travel time (or the lack of it) could play a part in deciding who proceeds into the Cup or the Plate.

The first tap off is at 10am, with the Cup final tapping off at 5pm.
