Teams announced for 2022 Junior Touch Championships

Four England teams have been announced for the 2022 Junior Touch Championships.

This year’s event, the first Junior Touch Championships to be held since 2019, are returning to France, this time to the Sports Centre De Vichy in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhones-Alpes region.

England are the reigning champions from the last edition, taking home the Gold medals in the Boys 18s, Girls 18s, Mixed 18s and Mixed 15s.

The 64 players and 11 non-travelling reserves were whittled down from the initial 158 players chosen in the boys and girls squads following the 2021 Nationals.

Nineteen clubs are represented, from as far afield as Canterbury, Manchester, Leeds and Cheltenham, and there will be a residential training weekend in Nottingham in early July before the teams head to France.

Many congratulations to all of the players who have been chosen to represent their country!
