Men's and Women's National Touch Series takes over

The National Touch Series moves into the Men’s and Women’s phase this September with the first of two Emerging tournaments at Cheltenham RFC on Saturday.

Ten Men’s and seven Women’s teams will be heading to the west country from across the country, with clubs as far afield as Leeds, Crewe, Exeter and Canterbury represented.

One Men’s team to watch out for is Turtles, a new London-based club who is making their first appearance in the National Touch Series. They have been draw in Pool A, where they will face established clubs Crewe and Nantwich, Chester, Oxford and Exeter.

Pool B has the potential to be just as competitive, with Revolution, Cheltenham, Canterbury, Bristol and Wigan all facing each other in the round-robin stages before the afternoon knockouts.

The Women’s competition will be decided during a round-robin stage, with Revolution, Cheltenham, Thames Valley Wikings, Crewe and Nantwich, Oxford, Bristol and Yorkshire Thorns all represented.

The Emerging Men’s and Women’s NTS has grown in importance over the last few years, and been a stepping stone for players into a higher level of single gender Touch.
