Bath Hawks shine in the south-west

Bath Hawks became the second Cup winner of the 2018/19 Uni National Touch Series.

The Hawks – overall champions in 2016/17 – overcame hosts Exeter by a single touchdown in the Cup final. Bath had an unbeaten morning, beating Exeter 2, Oxford and Surrey en route to the knockout stages.

Exeter’s third team were seen off in the quarter finals, then Bath’s second team in the semi-finals, before Exeter 1 were edged out 5-4 in the last match of the day.

Exeter managed to get teams into all three of the day’s finals, with their second team overcoming the thirds 4-1 in the Plate final.

Exeter 4 were not able to take home a title, however, as Oxford ran out 3-1 winners in the Bowl final.

Bristol 2 were the day’s final winners, finishing on top of a three-team round-robin for the Shield.

The Uni NTS heads to Bristol on December 15th for the final round before Christmas. If your university wants to send a team email Alex Scott via university@englandtouch.org.uk
