Introducing the Classic National Touch Series

New for 2026 is the England Touch Classic National Touch Series – a group of events specifically for Seniors and Masters players.

While the England High Performance programme and The Nationals (the highest level of domestic competition) has been expanding in these divisions, to date there has not been similar opportunity to participate at club level in dedicated events.

This changes in 2026, with the Classic NTS visiting Nottingham Riverside on Sun, Mar 1, Wakefield on Sun, June 21, and Bristol on Sat, Sept 19.

The schedule reflects the strong desire of nearly 300 Seniors and Masters players who were surveyed earlier this Autumn to have one event per quarter, which also takes into consideration the training and playing commitments for The Nationals on the May Bank Holiday weekend and European Touch Championships in mid-summer.

Expressions of Interest are now open via the form below. Things to note:

  • Entries will be based around clubs, not regions. Clubs and teams can be established purely for these events; CLICK HERE for more information about club affiliations
  • As with other iterations of the NTS in previous years, players from multiple clubs can come together to compete, provided the club which enters a) is affiliated to England Touch, and b) has registered players appropriately
  • All players must be individual members of England Touch. Individual members whose clubs are not entering teams are free to approach those clubs who are if they want to play
  • At this stage clubs can indicate whether they are likely to enter one of more of the following categories:
    Women – 27, 35, 40
    Men – 30, 40, 50
  • Classic NTS format will depend on team indications and eventual entries
  • Specific questions can be sent to Kevin Hill via manager@englandtouch.org.uk
