Vermeer UK & Ireland supporting England Touch Nationals 2025

Vermeer UK & Ireland is once again showing its support for Touch Rugby in this country by finalising an advertising agreement at England Touch Nationals 2025.
Vermeer UK & Ireland had a similar agreement with Touch World Cup 2024, the largest international event in the history of the sport that was staged in Nottingham last July.
Highfields Sports Complex, which hosted Touch World Cup 2024, is also the venue for the England Touch Nationals over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
The Nationals is the pinnacle of the domestic Touch Rugby season and brings together representative teams from the six regions – South East, South West, Midlands, West, North East and North West – across eight categories, namely Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Open, Senior Women’s and Senior Men’s, Women’s 40, Men’s 40 and Men’s 50.
The agreement also extends to the England Touch National Schools Touch Championships, being delivered by Try Sports, which has grown exponentially over the last three years to have entries from more than 100 schools.
“Vermeer UK & Ireland are excited to extend our partnership with England Touch off the back of the Touch World Cup in Nottingham,” commented Warren Steele, General Manager, Vermeer UK & Ireland.
“This relationship delivers solutions for both the existing National Touch Championships and contributes to the development of the National Schools Touch Championships.
“Vermeer UK & Ireland hold deep relationships with infrastructure development across the Utility & Pipeline, Landscape and Recycling & Forestry sectors. We are extremely proud to join England Touch to deliver The Nationals and the Schools Touch Championships.
“Over the last few years England Touch’s consistent growth and track record for delivering outstanding events have demonstrated that they are worth investing in commercially. It is definitely an organisation going in a positive direction.”
England Touch Chief Executive, Vince Mayne, thanked Warren and Vermeer UK & Ireland for continuing their backing of the sport.
“We have high ambitions for Touch Rugby in England coming off the back of hosting the largest ever Touch World Cup last summer,” he said. “But to achieve those ambitions we need support from companies like Vermeer UK & Ireland, and I would like to thank Warren for backing both The Nationals and our exciting National Schools Touch Championships.
“It is the second such agreement we have reached with a major multinational organisation this year, which reinforces our belief that Touch Rugby is not just in a positive place at the moment but also going in the right direction for the future.”
