High Performance coaching vacancies for 2023

England Touch’s High Performance programme has been setting new standards throughout the last couple of years, with eight Gold and two Silver medals from the 2022 European Touch Championships – along with two other category wins – and three Golds and a Silver from last summer’s Junior Touch Championships, too.

As the reigning European champions, a global reputation for success within Touch, and a rising profile of awareness across other sports within the UK, England Touch has an environment which is driven by performance and achievement with a healthy sense of enjoyment and personal fulfilment, too.

On-field work is supported by off-field continuing development with a range of sessions that share best practice from inside and outside our sport.

So this is a programme which offers a massive amount throughout the year, and we are seeking a number of coaches to fill the following vacancies ahead of this year’s European Touch Championships and Atlantic Youth Touch Cup, as well as the 2024 Touch World Cup, being held in Nottingham:

Head coaches – Mens 30, 20s Youth Squad

Head coaches must hold the England Touch Level 1 or FIT Intermediate Coaching qualification, and be prepared to attain the England Touch Level 2 or FIT Advanced Coaching qualification at the earliest possible opportunity.

Assistant coaches – Mixed Open, Womens 27, Mens 30, Mens 35, Womens 35, Mens 40, 20s Youth Squad

Assistant coaches should hold the England Touch Level 1 or FIT Intermediate Coaching qualification, or be prepared to either of these qualifications at the earliest possible opportunity.

For all coaches, experience in coaching or assistant coaching Elite Touch teams at international or Nationals (or equivalent overseas) level is highly desirable.

These roles involve planning and review work on a week-to-week basis (the workload varies throughout the campaign), in addition to attendance at High Performance training camps, joint and individual squad training sessions, along with the relevant tournaments themselves.

The Atlantic Youth Touch Cup is in Nottingham between July 20th and July 23rd.

The European Touch Championships is in Vichy, France, between August 8th and 12th.
