Dates and locations confirmed for 2022 National Touch Series

Planning for the 2022 National Touch Series can now take a step forwards with the confirmation of the dates and venues for the Elite and Development Mixed and Men’s and Women’s events.

As with 2021, the Elite and Development levels of the same Series will occur over the same weekend at the same venue, which allows for more referees to officiate on both days and players to potentially play in both, eligibility permitting, of course!

The Men’s and Women’s NTS will be based at either Oxford RFC – a familiar venue to England Touch events – and new location Burton RFC, located right next to the A38 dual carriageway a few miles north-east of greater Birmingham and has a train station on the main line between Birmingham and Derby. There is also a Premier Inn around 1.5km away.

Meanwhile the Elite and Development NTS will return to Banbury RFC for all three rounds, which was a popular venue in 2021.

As in 2021, Rounds 1 and 3 will have the Elite on Saturday and the Development on Sunday, while for Round 2 the Development will be on Saturday and the Elite on Sunday. This applies for all Series within the NTS.

The Elite Men’s and Women’s NTS and Elite Mixed NTS are both invitation only, while the Development Men’s and Women’s NTS and Development Mixed NTS are open to all teams.

Entry information will be announced in due course, and in the meantime any specific questions can be emailed to Aisling Musgrove, Events Manager, via events.manager@englandtouch.org.uk
