World Cup teams announced

The 10 England teams that will be heading to Malaysia this April have been announced.

In all 30 clubs are represented among the 160 players chosen, from as far afield as Exeter and Percy Park on Tyneside, Manchester and Canterbury, and this is the largest England squad to have gone to a World Cup.

They have been chosen following four High Performance Training Camps during the autumn and winter periods, and the teams will continue their preparations over the coming months at three more camps before the trip to Malaysia at the end of April.

England is heading to Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur, looking to consolidate the country’s world rankings and build on the successful European Touch Championships in Nottingham which saw the host nation win four individual category gold medals and lift the Opens, Seniors and Overall trophies.

The Touch World Cup begins on Monday, April 29th and will continue until Saturday, May 4th.
