Steeden to sponsor Development National Touch Series
England Touch has announced that Steeden will remain as an official sponsor of the Development National Touch Series.
The Steeden Development National Touch Series is for clubs and teams who are either looking for their first taste of national competition or who are developing their players along their journey within the sport.
It is a competition for Mixed teams, where the six-a-side on-pitch teams are balanced between men and women (with a minimum of one male player and maximum of three on-pitch at all times), and will be played out over five one-day tournaments at venues across the country.
Full details of the Steeden Development National Touch Series, including date and venue confirmations, will be unveiled on Sunday, February 25th, but ahead of that announcement England Touch’s Chief Operating Officer Gregg Cropper said that he was delighted that the relationship is continuing.
“Steeden is a brand synonymous with Touch in England and it’s fantastic that they are remaining as an official sponsor of our Development National Touch Series,” he commented.
“It is fantastic to be a major partner of England Touch and all of their programmes for the coming season,” added Daniel Drew, Director of Advantage Sports, Steeden’s licensee in the EU.
“Continuing our relationship with such a forward-thinking organisation is an honour and we look forward to working with them, developing the game further at grassroots and also at the elite end.”
Steeden was established in Australia in 1958 and is one of the world’s most forward thinking and innovative brands in the marketplace.
Steeden is the Official Ball of the National Rugby League, State of Origin, the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, England Rugby League, the Federation of International Touch and many more associations, clubs and teams throughout the world.
