We need people to help with the England national teams

England Touch has commenced the process to appoint Assistant Coaches for our National Squads for the following campaigns: European Touch Championship in July 2018 (Nottingham, England), Junior Touch Championship in 2018 (Scotland) and Touch World Cup in April 2019 (Malaysia).

Assistant coach positions are available for the following teams, with two assistants per team:

Mixed 15s, Mixed 18s, Boys’ 18s, Girls’ 18s, Mixed 21s, Men’s 21s, Women’s 21s, Mixed Open, Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Mixed Senior, Women’s 27s, Men’s 30s, Men’s 35s, Women’s 35s, Men’s 40s, and Men’s 45s.

All Assistant Coaches must have ETA individual membership (coach). Experience coaching representative Touch teams at regional, international or England Nationals level is highly desirable, as is a FIT Intermediate Coaching Level 1 qualification (this will mandatory in 2018).

Successful candidates will be expected to support their Head Coach in the training campaign ahead of the 2018 and 2019 competitions, and to be available for High Performance Training Squad camps, as well as the tournaments themselves.

In addition, England Touch is also seeking Team Managers for the aforementioned teams for the same period. National Squad Team Managers are responsible for the organisation and administration of their allocated team from pre-tournament preparation through to post-tournament wrap-up meetings.

Team Managers need to have demonstrable team management experience, delivering within pressurised environments with multiple stakeholders. Previous experience within elite sport is highly desirable.

Please note that Team Managers are non-playing individuals.
