Expressions of interest now open for refereeing at 2018 Euros

England Touch is now accepting expressions of interest for refereeing at the 2018 European Touch Championships (ETC) in Nottingham.

It is going to be the biggest ETC on record, so we will need more referees than ever before!

Expressions of interest are therefore invited from all qualified referees based in England. You must have your Level 1 badge as a minimum, and be free on the weekend of July 18-21, 2018.

The deadline for nominations is November 30th, 2017 – CLICK HERE to submit an expression of interest form. Please note that if you have not completed a beep test in the past three months you will be required to run one before November 30th to demonstrate your current fitness levels.

Once all EOIs have been received (by 30 November 2017) the nominations will be ranked by the ETA Referee Committee using the criteria set out in the selection policy. Please do not be put off if you do not meet all of the selection criteria; these were intentionally set to be strict for the first round of selection.

The initial referees selected will be a small number (informed by a European quota system) who are likely to meet these requirements. They will be ranked as Tier A. They will be informed of their selection in January 2018.

After that round it is highly likely that more referees will be needed - at which point the process will be opened up to those referees in Tier B. They will be informed early in 2018.
