Educating England
On Tuesday 5th April England Touch invited teachers, sports coaches and PGCE Students to a Teaching Touch CPD day at The Swaminarayan Preparatory School.
The course was presented by Peter Bell (Australia Touch Hall of Fame) as guest speaker and funded thanks to the money received from Wembley National Stadium Trust.
The content included information on:
- Course Presenter
- Touch Revolution in Australia and New Zealand
- Basic Rules of Touch
- Skill Development (Practical)
- Playing the Game
- Summery and Q & A
The day started with an overview of the day and some video clips of Touch from around the world.
Followed by plenty of practical outdoor activities engaging all of the participants, which consisted of seasoned internationals, parents, teachers and students alike.
Mrs Crowe writes: “Thank you for organising such an amazing day with Peter Bell and learning so much about touch rugby. I feel very privileged to attend. I plan to introduce it to my primary school”.
