2015 Touch World Cup

2015 Touch World Cup

It only happens once every four years and when it does it’s a magical event. Touch Football Australia (TFA) have announced that Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia will host the prestigious 2015 Touch World Cup during 29th April to 3rd May 2015.

With Touch enjoying sustained growth across many countries and expanding its footprint on the global stage, it is anticipated that this will be the biggest World Cup to date, with over 100 teams from up to 30 nations.

Team England will be well represented at this event with a strong desire to build on their current world rankings. Currently all 9 England squads are preparing for 2014 European Championships being held in Swansea, Wales, during 7th to 10th August 2014. The European Championships will provide a platform for players to consolidate their place, in their chosen team, leading into the 2015 Touch World Cup

Plans are still to be finalised, however the England have put forward Expressions of Interest in all of the available categories, a great testament to the growth of the game.

You can follow the progress of all 9 England squads as they prepare for 2014 European Championships in Swansea on www.englandtouch.org.ukTouch Football Australia have launched the official Touch World Cup website so keep up to date on www.touchworldcup.com

England Touch are currently looking for sponsorship at a number of different levels. From their National Squads down to individual player deals. England touch actively encourages individuals to take the initiative to find sponsorship deals for themselves, their team and/or the association as a whole, be that ‘in kind’ sponsorship and/or monetary donations.
